Description
The Waldenfels-Born Foundation supports nationwide research and teaching of contextual theologies in the spirit of the life’s work of Hans Waldenfels. Funding is particularly provided for projects that illuminate intercultural and interreligious dialogue processes and situate theological questions within different cultural contexts. Eligible for funding are educational institutions, non-profit organizations, as well as private individuals. Especially addressed are scholars, students, and authors who enrich professional exchange through their projects and provide impulses for contemporary theology.
Grants are available in the form of scholarships to cover personnel expenses as well as funds for publication costs. Evaluation criteria include scientific excellence, the relevance of the research project, and the contribution to the advancement of contextual theologies.
