Funding of regional studies projects

The state funding for regional studies projects in Vorarlberg supports individuals, interest groups, public institutions, as well as non-profit organizations in the realization of publications with a regional studies background. Funding is provided for printing cost contributions, granted directly as a subsidy. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing for a flexible project period. The aim is to strengthen the cultural-historical identity and scientific engagement with Vorarlberg and to secure a diverse publishing offer. The budgeted funding volume amounts to approximately 0.2 million euros and is based on the provisions of the funding guideline "Cultural Heritage" of the Vorarlberg state government.

For a successful submission, a fully completed application form including project description, financing plan, and proof of relevance to Vorarlberg is required. For funding amounts of 10,000 euros or more, a bank confirmation must also be provided; for associations, the current statutes may also be required. The application is submitted by compiling all documents into a single PDF file. The responsible funding authority – the Department of Culture in the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government – reviews the documents for completeness and compliance with the funding criteria. Funding requires acceptance of the general funding guidelines as well as the transparency declaration regarding data transmission. This initiative aims to secure the publication of regional studies works in Vorarlberg in the long term and to sustainably document the cultural heritage.
