Description

In the state program “Promotion of Landscape Conservation Measures in Land Consolidation Procedures,” the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Areas, Europe, and Consumer Protection in Schleswig-Holstein provides a grant. This funding instrument targets environmental and nature conservation as well as the strengthening of energy efficiency & climate protection by securing and developing natural habitats. Eligible applicants are interest groups or other associations, companies, and private individuals engaged in land consolidation procedures. A continuous application option ensures flexibility: funding applications can be submitted at any time before the planned measures begin to the State Office for Agriculture and Sustainable Land Development. The ongoing funding opportunities allow projects to be planned and implemented with long-term security, contributing to the continuous development of a climate-resilient cultural landscape.

The funding focus is on securing and developing near-natural areas: eligible expenses include leasing or purchasing land, redesigning and maintaining new biotopes, as well as establishing a biotope network system. Eligible costs cover, in addition to land provision, measures for the creation of wet grasslands, shrub maintenance, and watercourse renaturation within the network. A financing plan from the land consolidation authority and contractual assurance of maintenance and designated use for at least 12 years are prerequisites. The grant amount depends on the type and scope of the individual project. Participant communities, water and soil associations, and similar legal entities thus receive reliable funds to sustainably implement diverse nature conservation and climate projects. The sole application requirement is the timely submission of documents before the start of the measures.
