Description
The funding program "Support for Institutions in the Cultural and Creative Industries of Hesse" is aimed at Hessian institutions, associations, companies, foundations, and individuals, as well as public-law corporations. The objective is to strengthen the competitiveness and professional qualification of the cultural and creative industries through innovative projects. Supported measures include festivals, congresses, workshops, seminars, and image-building initiatives, as well as measures for knowledge transfer and market development. Cross-sectoral cooperation with other economic sectors is also possible. Eligible to apply are Hessian organizations of all legal forms, public-law corporations, and natural persons based in Hesse. Further funding requirements include submitting the application at least six weeks before the project start, the project not yet having commenced, secured overall financing, and, if applicable, a De-minimis certificate. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis.
The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant amounting to 40% to 75% of eligible expenses; in exceptional cases, a cap may apply. Eligible expenses include personnel costs (flat rates according to the personnel cost table), third-party fees, rents, leasing, low-value assets, as well as project-related material and printing costs. Individual consulting services (legal, tax, planning) are not eligible for funding. Evaluation is based on the degree of innovation, potential to increase competitiveness, professional qualification, relevance to target groups, and sustainability aspects. Required documents include a project description, cost and financing plan, CVs of responsible persons, De-minimis declaration, and, if applicable, contracts for external services. Funding requires a timely, fully completed application and compliance with the funding guidelines.
