Funding of individual projects and annual activities in the fields of film, fashion, and design

The City of Vienna Culture offers an open-ended grant funding program for individual projects and annual activities in the fields of film, fashion, and design with the aim of strengthening high-quality projects that particularly showcase Vienna from an artistic perspective. The focus in the film sector is on commercially challenging productions – including experimental, documentary, short, and feature films – which are primarily developed, produced, or exploited in Vienna. In fashion design as well as other design disciplines, creative concepts are supported that contribute to the cultural diversity of the city through their innovation and artistic relevance. Applications can be submitted continuously, whereby automatic follow-up funding between development, production, and exploitation phases is not provided.

Eligible for funding are legal entities, registered partnerships, and sole proprietorships based in Vienna, as well as natural persons aged 18 and over with primary residence in Vienna. For individual grants to natural persons, a maximum funding amount of €10,000 applies. The measure supports both artists and institutions that position their projects at the intersection of artistic excellence and economic challenges. By providing financial resources, the Municipal Department 7 makes an essential contribution to strengthening Vienna as a cultural location and promotes the sustainable development of film, fashion, and design projects at both national and international levels.
