Description
The funding program of the Free State of Thuringia supports companies in increasing their energy efficiency and profitably utilizing renewable energies. Funding is provided for measurement-supported, qualified, and independent consultations by consultants with a scientific or technical university degree as well as proof of expertise. On this basis, investments in energy efficiency measures and energy-saving contracting agreements can be realized. Up to 80% of eligible expenses are covered as a grant – including consulting days with a daily rate of up to EUR 640, a maximum of EUR 7,500 for the situational analysis, EUR 2,500 for project support, EUR 5,000 for success controls, and EUR 2,500 for measurement technology. For demonstration projects and accompanying studies, the funding amount is determined according to the provisions of the General Block Exemption Regulation.
The program is specifically aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) according to the EU definition, which implement their project in Thuringia and ensure overall financing. A written, justified recommendation of all measures following measurement-based consultation is a prerequisite. Demonstration projects also require an economic viability forecast as well as a presentation of the demonstration character and environmental protection effects. The implementation period must be completed by no later than 31.12.2022. An early start of measures is possible with corresponding applications. The application must be submitted to the Thuringian Development Bank before the start of the planned measures to establish forward-looking and sustainable energy use within the company.
