Description
The program “Promotion of Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles in Saxony-Anhalt” strengthens the mobility transition in the region. As a grant initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Digital Affairs, it complements the federal program and is aimed at natural and legal persons as well as municipalities, companies, start-ups, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, associations/clubs, and public institutions. Funding is provided for the installation, upgrading, and modernization of publicly accessible charging points (normal and fast charging points from 3.7 to ≥100 kW) as well as the grid connection to low- and medium-voltage networks including buffer storage integration. Technical minimum requirements according to the Charging Station Ordinance, connection to an open IT backend, and remote capability ensure interoperability. The charging infrastructure must be publicly accessible for at least twelve hours on six days per week, operated with electricity from renewable energy sources, and remain in operation for six years. Project duration: twelve months, funding rate: 60% of eligible expenses.
The funding amounts are up to €2,500 per normal charging point, up to €10,000 per fast charging point (22–100 kW), up to €20,000 from 100 kW, as well as up to €10,000 (low voltage) or €100,000 (medium voltage) per grid connection. Applications must be submitted within the framework of separate funding calls with fixed deadlines to Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH. Required documents: application form, detailed project description, site and grid connection plans, technical description of the charging infrastructure, grid connection offer, financing plan, declaration of green electricity procurement, and conformity certificate according to the Charging Station Ordinance. Selection is based on economic efficiency, sustainability aspects, and accessibility. This program paves the way for a comprehensive, future-proof charging infrastructure in Saxony-Anhalt.
