Support for Measures to Combat AIDS

In Baden-Württemberg, the state provides grants to non-profit interest groups and associations for target group-specific prevention measures against HIV and AIDS. The focus is on age-appropriate education and counseling, which is flexibly adapted to the needs of different target groups. At the same time, a needs-based network of counseling and support services for HIV-infected and AIDS patients is secured. Funding is ongoing and can be applied for by regionally anchored AIDS support associations that are already active in counseling, care, or education.

Continuous support ensures that established and new providers can sustainably expand and network their services. The program relies on cooperation within the social and health sectors to maintain low-threshold contact points across the region. This structure strengthens the care of those affected, improves prevention efforts, and promotes public awareness. Thus, the funding instrument makes a significant contribution to containing HIV and supporting non-profit organizations primarily active in Baden-Württemberg.
