Description
Trade Fair and Exhibition Support within the framework of the Federal Organic Farming Program is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises with a registered office in Germany that can demonstrate solid expertise in organic farming as well as proven experience in planning and implementing comparable trade fair projects. Support is provided for appearances at international and supraregional trade fairs that are not exclusively focused on organic products. The goal is to specifically address the trade fair audience and convey subject-specific information in order to sustainably increase acceptance and demand for organic cultivation methods and products.
The funding covers up to 80% of eligible expenses, with a standard funding rate of 60%; own contributions of 20–60% must be made. Covered costs include booth rental including registration fees and entry in the exhibitor catalog, booth equipment with media technology, as well as the creation and printing of informational materials. A maximum of €8,000 can be granted for individual booths, €7,000 per exhibitor at joint booths (2–10 participants), and €77,000 per joint booth with 11 or more participants. Project applications must be submitted electronically by December 1, 2030 and must be fully received by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) at least three months before the trade fair begins. The application must include a project description and justification, cost estimates for booth rental and equipment, as well as proofs of professional qualification and German establishment. Timely submission of a usage report within two months after the event is mandatory. Selection is based on the criteria of contribution to the promotion of organic farming, professional competence, and inclusion of additional sustainability aspects in the trade fair appearance.
