Description
The funding for the establishment of regional sports and recreational facilities in Vorarlberg supports municipalities, municipal associations, companies, interest groups, and other clubs in the development and modernization of sports and leisure venues. The aim is to increase the attractiveness of the regional leisure offerings, strengthen the infrastructure, and improve the quality of life for the population. A grant of 15% of eligible costs is provided up to an investment volume of €3 million; for additional eligible expenses up to a total of €5 million, the funding rate is 10%, but not exceeding €650,000. Applications can be submitted continuously before the project start.
A prerequisite is a project at a location of regional significance that makes a substantial contribution to improving infrastructure and promoting environmental and resource protection. The facility must be multifunctional, attractively designed, and aligned with regional leisure and sports needs. Eligible expenses include construction and installation costs, planning and approval costs, as well as technical equipment. Investments in gastronomic areas, ascent aids, ongoing operational expenses, projects without proven financing, and replacement investments for existing equipment are not eligible. To apply, a detailed project description, a detailed cost breakdown with a financing plan, required legal permits, and the completed application form must be submitted. Performance evaluation is based on the final accounting, and payment is made in three installments according to construction progress.
