Description

Since 2014, a permanent grant funding from the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 1 – State Office Directorate, has supported the Europahaus Klagenfurt in the basic financing of its informational work on European topics. The aim is to provide Carinthian citizens with current content on European politics, society, and social issues, thereby strengthening social cohesion and democratic participation. The funding is exclusively directed at non-profit interest groups or associations and covers both personnel costs and project expenses. A detailed budget plan, a subsidy declaration, and a funding commitment are mandatory prerequisites for the application, which can be submitted at any time and without limitation. A meaningful project description and the exact budget plan are required for the application submission.

The continuous support creates planning security and promotes sustainable activities for political education in Carinthia. Upon completion of the respective project, all invoices – especially proof of personnel costs and project expenditures – must be submitted promptly to demonstrate the appropriate use of funds. The discretionary decision-making process ensures flexible adaptation to the specific requirements of the informational work. Through this funding measure, broad public relations on European topics will be established in the long term, sharpening awareness of shared values and democratic processes in the region.
