Description
Funding by the Stiftung der Sparkasse München is a highly committed support program aimed at assisting projects in the fields of health, education/training, and leisure. Founded in 1998 by the Stadtsparkasse München, the Children and Youth Foundation places great emphasis on creating positive impulses for children and young people in Munich. Within the funding areas – from prevention and therapy to creative leisure activities as well as the promotion of quality education and training – the program combines expertise and regional commitment. It is exclusively directed at non-profit organizations that comply with the statutory purposes of the foundation and thus fulfill the public benefit requirements of the German Fiscal Code (AO).
The funding concept is based on an integrative approach that takes into account the diverse needs of young people in an urban environment. The foundation focuses on health promotion by supporting projects that include preventive measures, healing and therapy services, as well as comprehensive aftercare for physically and mentally impaired children and adolescents. At the same time, educational projects are supported that aim at solid education and training, strengthening social and ecological awareness, and fostering tolerance and solidarity. Furthermore, special emphasis is placed on innovative leisure projects that offer sporting, active, and creative opportunities, thereby sustainably supporting the individual development of young people in Munich.
Funding is provided on an ongoing basis and allows for flexible application submission via a user-friendly online portal. Eligible to apply are exclusively non-profit organizations whose projects adhere to the clearly defined regional and thematic priorities. In addition to the online application form, a detailed project description and proof of non-profit status must be submitted. Through the continuous awarding of grants, the program offers an excellent opportunity to permanently realize innovative and forward-looking projects and improve the quality of life for children and young people in Munich. This future-oriented funding initiative aims to effect sustainable change by shaping key societal issues such as health, education, and leisure, thereby laying the foundation for a strong, inclusive community.
