Funding objective
This program supports measures in the field of e-mobility, particularly in the areas of vehicles and vehicle technologies, charging/billing/network technologies, barrier-free billing systems, as well as the system integration of e-mobility into smart home energy management systems, with the aim of enabling long-term multimodal mobility and encouraging the acquisition of multi-track electric passenger vehicles in Upper Austria.

Description
The program promotes e-mobility measures in Upper Austria with the aim of significantly increasing energy efficiency and minimizing emissions such as CO₂, NOₓ, particulate matter, and noise. It is equally aimed at natural and legal applicants – including commercial enterprises, associations, religious institutions, municipalities, and private individuals. Through direct grants, the funding offer supports projects in the areas of digitalization, energy efficiency & renewable energies, environmental/nature conservation, infrastructure, energy efficiency & climate protection, as well as infrastructure & urban development. Since March 1, 2017, funding applications can be submitted continuously, which is intended to promote the long-term establishment of multimodal mobility in connection with public transport services.
Particularly supported are investments in multi-track electric passenger vehicles, charging/billing and network technologies, barrier-free billing systems, as well as the integration of e-mobility into smart home energy management systems. A prerequisite is that the project enables easy combination with public transport, provides an incentive for the acquisition of electrically powered passenger cars in Upper Austria, and fully acknowledges and complies with the currently applicable environmental funding guidelines. There is no legal entitlement to the granting of funding. To apply, the completed application form and all documents required according to the state website must be submitted. The decision on the award lies with the Environmental Protection Department of the Upper Austrian State Government and is made after reviewing completeness and eligibility for funding.
