Description
The funding program “Performing Arts Styria” supports individual artists, independent theater groups, and ensembles in the implementation of theater, dance, and performance projects with a clear connection to Styria. As a continuously open grant opportunity, it allows for the submission of applications before the project begins and promotes productions, guest performances at home and abroad, as well as production costs. Recipients can be natural persons as well as non-profit organizations and companies, which are evaluated through professional review by the Cultural Board. The aim of the program is to effectively realize artistic endeavors, strengthen the regional cultural life, and make the Styrian art scene visible both nationally and internationally.
For an application, a fully completed application form, a meaningful project description, detailed cost breakdown, financing plan, and an artistic CV are required. The funding prerequisites stipulate that the project must have a clear connection to Styria and that the application is submitted to Department 9 Culture, Europe, Foreign Relations of the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government before the start of the funded project. After positive approval, the payment is made based on a written funding agreement, followed by the review of the proof of use. The indefinite deadline structure enables long-term project planning and helps to flexibly support time-limited or spatially extensive projects.
