Description
The funding program in the field of environmental and energy awareness education in Upper Austria supports non-profit organizations, associations, educational institutions, as well as public authorities in the implementation of projects and educational measures that make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of society, environmental and climate protection, and the increase of energy efficiency. Applications can be submitted informally before the start of the project and must be submitted to the Environmental Protection Department of the Upper Austrian State Government. Up to 65% of eligible expenses are funded (in exceptional cases up to 100%), with a maximum funding amount of €20,000 per project. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material costs, and overhead costs up to 25% of personnel costs. Non-eligible expenses include, among others, investments in buildings, land acquisition, periodic commercial publications, and hospitality costs.
The measure is aimed at natural and legal persons based in Upper Austria, in particular non-profit organizations, associations, denominational sponsors, institutes, schools, and municipalities. A prerequisite is full compliance with the state guidelines as well as approval by state experts. Submission documents include an informal funding application, a detailed project description, a financing plan, proof of other funding commitments, as well as subsequent project reports, cost evidence, an hourly rate calculation, and the final accounting sheet.
