Description
This funding measure offers municipalities, fire brigades, and aid organizations in disaster protection in Upper Austria tailored financial support. Funding is provided for the new acquisition and replacement of operational equipment, emergency vehicles, and protective gear, as well as for the new construction or renovation of operations centers. Furthermore, ongoing disaster protection-related expenses can be covered. As a form of direct funding in the form of a grant, the program enables a needs-based strengthening of operational capacities and contributes to increasing regional resilience. Since there are no fixed submission deadlines, applications can be submitted at any time, allowing for flexible realization of short-term procurements and infrastructure adjustments.
A prerequisite for approval is the recognition of the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria as well as the economical and efficient use of funds for the approved funding purpose. In the event of misuse, repayment obligations including interest may arise. For application submission, an informal justification, the completed funding declaration, receipts, and, if applicable, financing plans must be attached. For funding amounts of €4,000 or more, original invoices must be submitted, and for total financing amounts of €20,000 or more, proof of financing must be provided. This transparent structure ensures solid processing and promotes the operational safety of all units involved in disaster protection.
