Research Styria – Planning, Management, Impulses

As part of this statewide initiative, applied research projects in Styria are supported with non-repayable grants to provide new impetus for the research location and the regional economy. Eligible for funding are, in addition to companies, educational institutions, non-profit, and public organizations. The program is aimed at researchers, research institutions, and innovative enterprises that develop new approaches in line with the science and research strategy of the federal state. Applications can be submitted continuously and have been open indefinitely since May 15, 2013.

The central objective of this funding measure is the further development of research infrastructure and the strengthening of cooperation between science and industry. Projects that deliver practical results and are expected to have long-term effects on the region's innovative capacity are supported. A prerequisite for receiving funding is participation in the current calls for proposals of the responsible Department for Economy, Tourism, Science, and Research of the Styrian Provincial Government. Through the continuous influx of funds, the program makes a sustainable contribution to positioning Styria as a leading science and research location in Austria.
