Community Fund Future Paths East

The Community Fund Future Paths East supports innovative micro-projects by non-profit organizations in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia. The initiative awards a grant of up to €5,000 and is aimed at associations, organizations, and volunteer initiatives actively contributing to the strengthening of democratic civil society. By pooling private capital and establishing cooperation networks, societal challenges—especially in rural areas—are to be addressed. The fund supports projects that make a sustainable contribution to respectful and inclusive coexistence. Through a streamlined and uncomplicated application process, low-threshold access to funding is enabled, allowing diverse ideas to strengthen social cohesion to be implemented quickly.

Eligible actors are those committed to the equality of all people and to democratic culture. The focus is on projects in the areas of exchange, dialogue, and civil society participation. Applications are submitted digitally, making the application process flexible and time-saving. In the long term, the fund infrastructure is intended to be continuously expanded through further cooperation and funding partners to create structural funding opportunities. The funding sends a clear signal for innovative and collaborative engagement in eastern Germany and contributes to noticeably strengthening the potential of local initiatives. This approach makes a valuable contribution to promoting democratic values and social cohesion in the region.
