Description
The genialsozial global program supports partnership-based development cooperation projects aimed at sustainably improving the living and educational conditions of young people in the Global South. Non-profit recognized social and charitable associations, organizations, or initiatives based in Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, or Thuringia can apply for funding amounts between 60,000 and 150,000 euros. A prerequisite is a firmly established southern partnership as a statutory objective as well as experience in joint project implementation. The maximum duration is 36 months with project start from September 2026. Projects are evaluated primarily based on their partnership collaboration, sustainability focus, participation and equal opportunities, as well as their clear impact orientation.
The application deadline is January 31, 2026. Required are a fully completed funding application, a detailed cost and financing plan, if applicable a construction measures annex, as well as supplementary explanatory materials. Applicants with a church or Christian orientation must belong to the Catholic Church or the Evangelical Alliance. Projects can start annually in autumn and offer a framework in which local and international partners jointly develop innovative solution concepts. Through the combination of professional expertise and committed youth engagement, a dynamic learning and development process is created that has an immediate impact on site. This funding instrument is aimed at all those who wish to advance sustainable, impact-oriented projects in the field of development cooperation and agriculture and provides a solid foundation for long-term global cooperation.
