Shareholder Grants - Folk Culture

The shareholder grants – Folk Culture in Styria support the ongoing operating costs of Volkskultur Steiermark GmbH as well as Universalmuseum Joanneum GmbH in the sub-area of the state memorial site Krieglach / Alpl. As a permanent funding measure, this regular allocation enables the sustainable safeguarding of cultural infrastructure in Styria. The grant, provided as a direct reimbursement, contributes to the continuous financing and further development of the diverse folk cultural activities and memorial projects in the region. Companies and public institutions within the shareholder structure benefit from this stable financial basis without fixed submission deadlines.

For the granting of funding, the submission of a binding annual budget for the following fiscal year is required, as well as the accounting of the previous year’s projects and a valid government session resolution. These documents form the prerequisite for transparent use of funds and ensure a comprehensible administrative review of financial flows. Through close cooperation with the Department of Culture, Europe, and External Relations of the State of Styria, the folk cultural commemoration in the historical context of Krieglach / Alpl is to be permanently strengthened.
