Description

The funding measure supports companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions in Tyrol in providing mobile care and support services to enable persons in need of care and assistance of all ages to live as independently as possible in their familiar home environment. Funding is provided for basic services such as medical home nursing, palliative care, mobile psychiatric nursing for seniors, pediatric home nursing, home help, domestic services, as well as organizational and consulting services. The State of Tyrol covers the majority of the incurred costs, while clients pay an income-dependent co-payment. The grant is provided within the framework of an ongoing, indefinite subsidy program and is based on the applicable guidelines of the Tyrolean Home and Care Services Act.

Eligible for funding are providers of mobile care and support services based in Tyrol who make their services available to mobile care structures upon application. Prerequisites for financial support include, among others, Austrian citizenship or equivalent status, main residence in Tyrol, and documented care or support needs—demonstrated by receipt of care allowance, application for care allowance, or medical certification. For psychiatric care in old age, an additional referral from a specialist in psychiatry is required; community nursing can also be applied for without care allowance entitlement. For the application, personal data such as name, insurance number, registration confirmation, care allowance level, medical reports, as well as income and expense documentation must be submitted. This comprehensive funding makes an important contribution to relieving caregiving relatives and ensuring high-quality, locally accessible care services.
