Description

The funding initiative for violence prevention in Vienna supports interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, companies, private individuals, as well as public institutions in the planning and implementation of innovative projects aimed at preventing violence in various areas of life. The focus is on measures for women, older adults, young men and women, children and adolescents, as well as LGBTIQ+ individuals. The goal is to strengthen the social participation of disadvantaged groups and proactively counteract violence related to discrimination through targeted workshops, networking, and awareness campaigns. The ongoing program promotes projects in the fields of work & social affairs, women's advancement, children and youth, as well as engagement for social cohesion and democracy.

Eligible for funding are all applicants who submit a coherent project concept including a financing plan and comply with the provisions of the General Framework Guidelines for the granting of subsidies from federal funds (ARR 2014). Applications can be submitted at any time using the currently valid BMSGPK funding application form, supplemented by a detailed project description, timeline, and budget breakdown. In addition to the funding application, supporting documents such as a current financial statement, association register excerpt or trade license, as well as CVs and organizational charts, must be attached. Reporting and accounting obligations are contractually defined to ensure transparent use of funds. Through this funding, the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection makes a sustainable contribution to violence prevention and strengthens the resilience of target groups against structural and physical violence.
