Description
The thematic fund Hamburger Anchor – Strengthening Parents and Children is aimed at non-profit providers of child and youth services, associations, and initiatives that are committed to families in Hamburg neighborhoods with social development needs. The goal of the grant program is to support parents and expectant parents in processing experiences of isolation, sustainably promote parental competencies, and foster a loving bond between parents and children from 0 to 18 years of age. Funding is provided primarily for projects in the Early Support sector, guidance and attachment counseling services, as well as school projects that enable parents to fulfill their role as educational companions. The BürgerStiftung Hamburg places particular emphasis on outreach and interculturally oriented work that strengthens neighborhood networks and involves participants in co-creation.
Annual funding of between 10,000 and 20,000 euros is available for the Hamburger Anchor, primarily to be used for personnel costs and project-related material expenses. Evaluation criteria include sustainability, experience of the project management, target group-appropriate communication, network building, willingness to participate in evaluation, and identification with the values of the BürgerStiftung Hamburg. Currently, no new applications are possible, as the fund supports long-term projects and typically provides multi-year funding cycles. Interested non-profit organizations will receive detailed information and support with application submissions in future calls for proposals.
