Description

The funding program Herzenssache Mobility offers non-profit organizations the opportunity to implement mobility projects for disadvantaged children and young people in the regions of Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland. The focus is on creating additional development opportunities for target groups up to 18 years of age and their families, who often have limited access to opportunities and services due to their social circumstances. By supporting, among other things, the acquisition of new or used vehicles as well as barrier-free modifications, the program promotes projects that provide sustainable impulses for participation and inclusion. Special emphasis is placed on innovative approaches that address current societal challenges.

With a funding amount ranging from 30,000 to 70,000 euros, the initiative targets organizations that support children and young people in various areas of life – such as health, education, media literacy, creativity, and social participation. Only material costs are eligible for funding, while expenses such as insurance, taxes, registration fees, fuel, or vehicles for a fleet are explicitly excluded. The evaluation of submitted projects is based on criteria such as relevance, timeliness, innovative project idea, regionality, and thematic diversity. This selection process ensures that the projects have a broad impact and adequately address local needs.

Applications are accepted continuously and entirely digitally via an online funding tool, where the applying organization can submit all relevant information about their planned project through a questionnaire and a detailed cost estimate. It is ensured that all projects are implemented exclusively in the specified federal states and benefit the disadvantaged target groups. The decision on the allocation of funds is made by the board of Herzenssache e.V. after consultation with the relevant committees. This transparent procedure enables targeted support of projects with sustainable added value, thus making an important contribution to the mobility and development of young people.
