Funding objective
The aim of funding projects for women in rural areas is to develop local income and employment opportunities, create and secure qualified jobs, and improve the compatibility of family and career. The measures are intended to serve as exemplary models for the region and contribute to securing and enhancing public services through local infrastructure and supply facilities. The rural economic structure and the range of services are to be preserved and strengthened. Qualification and coaching measures promote professional, especially entrepreneurial, ecological, and personal skills of women.
Non-eligible expenses
- Acquisition of motor vehicles, ships, rail vehicles, and other vehicles primarily used for transport and registered for road traffic (exception: mobile sales units)

Funding requirements
- Required professional competence and qualified personnel for qualification and coaching measures
- Submission of a concept including subject content, employed lecturers, as well as cost and financing plan
- At least 10 participants for qualification measures, at least 6 for coaching measures
- Duration of each qualification or coaching measure between 18 and 225 hours
- Submission of a business plan with economic key figures, market analysis, as well as cost and financing plan for investment projects

Description
The funding program Innovative Measures for Women in Rural Areas (IMF) in Baden-Württemberg supports qualification and coaching offers as well as investments in non-agricultural micro-enterprises run by women. The goal is to open up local income and employment opportunities, create qualified jobs, and improve the compatibility of family and career. Both individually tailored further training and entrepreneurial investment projects that contribute to local infrastructure for public services and serve as exemplary impulses for regional economic development are funded.
Eligible for funding are women in rural areas as well as educational institutions and other providers of corresponding measures. Grants cover between 40% and 100% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of €160,000 per project. A prerequisite is the submission of a well-founded concept with technical content and speakers, a cost and financing plan, a business plan including market analysis, as well as proof of professional qualification and secured overall financing. Further criteria include at least ten participants in qualification measures or six participants in coaching measures, as well as a minimum duration of 18 to 225 hours. Applications can be submitted continuously before the start of the planned measure to the responsible regional council, enabling timely decisions and demand-oriented implementation.
