Hunting Fee

The hunting levy of the Berlin Nature Conservation Foundation represents a continuously available grant funding program specifically aimed at private individuals, non-profit organizations, and public institutions. Hunters, falconers, and other project sponsors based in Berlin can apply for funds for measures that serve to preserve and improve the living conditions of wildlife. Funding is provided for studies on the living and environmental conditions of various wildlife species as well as concepts for the prevention and avoidance of wildlife damage in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. A prerequisite for a successful application is proof of a valid hunting or falconry license, a project start no earlier than eight weeks after submission of the application, and the exclusion of mandatory or compensatory measures. A comprehensible cost and financing plan (in Excel format) and the original signature on the application form and cost plan complete the application documents.

The allocation of funds is based on clearly defined evaluation criteria: alignment with the principles of the hunting levy, sustainability aspects, and measurability of project success are central.
