Description
The Annual Opening Hours Bonus supports elementary early childhood education and care facilities in Carinthia in ensuring their year-round operation with at least 42 open weeks per calendar year. This grant funding rewards facilities that maintain care services beyond the regular kindergarten year and thus contributes to relieving families as well as promoting early childhood development in the region.
An application can be submitted annually by March 1st via the online childcare program. A prerequisite for approval is the monthly recording of opening weeks in the specified online tool to verify compliance with the minimum weeks. The payment is made once a year in August retroactively for the previous calendar year. Since September 1, 2023, the bonus has been available without a time limit, thereby providing long-term planning security for all eligible facilities in Carinthia.
