Description

The annual scholarship of the Leben pur Foundation is aimed at enrolled students (Bachelor/Master) as well as doctoral candidates who wish to write a qualification thesis on the topic "The Family System of People with Complex Disabilities." Over a period of up to 12 months, a monthly amount of €800 supports the scientific engagement with interdisciplinary, structural, and biographical perspectives on the family system of this target group. The work should make a concrete contribution to the long-term improvement of the quality of life of people with complex disabilities and takes into account the roles, tasks, and responsibilities of parents, siblings, grandparents, as well as professionals in the tension field between autonomy and participation. Evaluation criteria include the content relevance to the announced topic, target group orientation, sustainable impact on quality of life, and the elaboration in the German language.

For the application – to be submitted as a digital complete file or by post – an exposé with a work plan, a letter of motivation, a tabular CV, a letter of recommendation from the supervising professor(s), and a consent form for data processing are required. The application deadline is February 15, 2026 (postmark/digital format). A decision on the award will be made by April 2026.
