Description
Child Protection and Violence Prevention is a special directive of the Federal Chancellery for projects in Vienna that focus entirely on the safety of children and adolescents. The aim is to develop, evaluate, and further advance child protection concepts, train professionals through continuing education, implement preventive as well as therapeutic victim protection measures, and provide low-threshold telephone or digital first contact points. Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit associations, companies, and church institutions that carry out projects within Austria and do not pursue profit-making objectives. The funding period runs from May 1, 2024, to May 31, 2029, with applications accepted annually until October 15. Funds are granted as non-repayable subsidies and are intended to support professional development as well as the strengthening of social cohesion.
The funding volume amounts to up to 100,000 euros per project per year. Eligible costs include personnel expenses, material, and travel costs; psychotherapeutic treatments, bank fees, installment obligations for loans or leasing, as well as personnel administration expenses remain excluded. For the application, a fully completed online application, an excerpt from the association or company register including statutes, proof of signing authority, and the previous year's financial statement are required. Applicants are encouraged to carefully prepare their project proposals to sustainably improve the protection of children and adolescents in various areas of life and to strengthen their social participation.
