Description
The Climate Protection and Sustainability Fund »Projects for future« of the trias Foundation supports nationwide non-profit housing projects, cooperatives, and public institutions in implementing ecological measures related to their buildings. The goal is to contribute to climate, soil, and biodiversity protection through long-term effective greening and de-sealing measures. Eligible for funding are, for example, tree plantings, green roofs, de-sealing measures, as well as the establishment of native hedges and bee pastures. Other environmentally related initiatives in communal living that promote climate and nature conservation are also considered. The trias Foundation provides at least €10,000 annually and awards individual grants between €500 and €5,000. Evaluation focuses particularly on ecological sustainability, long-term maintenance, and the contribution to soil and biodiversity protection. Applications can be submitted continuously, provided proof of non-profit status, a long-term guarantee of existence, and a detailed schedule and financing plan are presented.
Interested housing projects or leaseholders of the trias Foundation’s hereditary building rights, as well as other non-profit housing initiatives and cooperatives, submit a project application that includes a precise description of the planned measures, a cost-effectiveness calculation, and a cost and financing plan. Renovation measures on buildings, the furnishing of communal rooms, or project development costs for non-non-profit initiatives are not eligible for funding. With its fund, the trias Foundation strengthens commitment to climate and environmental protection in the communal housing sector and invites ecologically ambitious projects to submit their ideas for long-term greening and de-sealing, thereby making a valuable contribution to the protection of climate, soil, and biodiversity.
