Description
KMU.DIGITAL 4.0 & GREEN – Implementation supports small and medium-sized enterprises in Vienna in carrying out new investments in digital and ecological transformation projects. Eligible are activation-required investments as well as related services from external providers, including programming work, (cloud) software licenses, comprehensive digitalization packages, and consulting components realized in Austria. Project expenses must range between €2,000 and €30,000; funds are available up to the budget limit from May 21, 2024. The project duration is twelve months, within which the measures must be completed and accounted for. The objectives are to strengthen competitiveness, develop new business models, and promote energy efficiency, climate protection, and sustainable resource use.
The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant amounting to 30% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of €6,000. Funding prerequisites include an official trade license, SME definition according to the EU recommendation, headquarters or place of business in Austria, and proof of a prior KMU.DIGITAL consultation. To apply, a project description, cost and financing plan, proof of consultation, copies of external offers, and the consulting commitment must be submitted. Approval is based on the level of innovation, contribution to ecological transformation, cost-efficiency, and relevance of digital transformation. Companies thereby benefit from an incentive to implement ecologically and digitally oriented investments and lay the foundation for sustainable growth.
