Koblenz Project Funding (Koblenz Citizens' Foundation)

The Koblenz Project Funding of the Koblenz Citizens' Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations, volunteer-driven initiatives, and private individuals who wish to implement projects with a direct connection to Koblenz and the surrounding area. The goal is to strengthen civic engagement in the areas of social cohesion, democracy, as well as work & social affairs. Funding is primarily provided for new projects with a model or exemplary character, which are supported by voluntary commitment and demonstrate an appropriate level of applicant co-financing. The foundation grants subsidies, which are usually decided promptly by the board or, for higher amounts, with the approval of the foundation council. The focus is on supporting projects during a start-up phase of two to three years and providing initiatives with a solid foundation.

Continuous submission of applications is possible at any time, as long as the project is not yet completed at the time of application. Ongoing organizational costs are not funded. Key evaluation criteria include non-profit status, local relevance, voluntary engagement, co-financing, and the exemplary nature of the project. A complete application requires the filled application form, a detailed description of the measure, a cost and financing plan, as well as proof of non-profit status. Through the straightforward awarding of grants, the Koblenz Citizens' Foundation makes an important contribution to strengthening social cohesion and promoting innovative ideas in the Rhineland-Palatinate region.
