Description
The City of Graz provides 9-seat sports office buses free of charge to Graz sports clubs as part of their youth work. This in-kind benefit supports trips to competitions, tournaments, training camps, and recovery measures to optimally promote young athletes. The provision is made in the form of a 100% subsidy, with the sports office allocating a total of six buses (VW and Citroën). Special consideration is given to applications for children’s and youth trips as well as for persons with physical disabilities, thereby ensuring inclusive mobility within Styria.
Clubs based in Graz can submit requests up to three months before the desired date using the electronic application form. An electronic application and a copy of the driver’s license of the person driving are required. Fuel and cleaning costs are not eligible for funding and remain the responsibility of the borrowing clubs. Allocations are made at regular intervals; short-term requests for ongoing borrowing periods are processed immediately. Through the free use of the bus fleet, the sports office strengthens youth work and team spirit within the Graz club structures.
