Description

Crisis Intervention Center/Crisis Accommodation in Styria offers nonprofit organizations ongoing grant funding to maintain a 24/7 accessible counseling and refuge center for children and adolescents in acute emergencies. Funding is provided for residential accommodation capacities for youth aged 13 to 18 as well as outpatient services that – involving the case-managing social workers of the district administrative authority – ensure an unbureaucratic admission and care process. Sponsoring organizations require a written service contract with the Styrian State Government and a valid care agreement to be able to provide a protected space with meals, hygiene, sleeping facilities, and psychological first aid for up to twelve weeks in emergencies.

The funding objective is to stabilize mental health and secure basic needs through immediate assistance and outpatient follow-up care. Eligible to apply are privately operated child and youth welfare institutions approved by official decision, which offer protection and orientation to children and adolescents in crisis situations – provided a care agreement is in place. The measure supports the development of viable perspectives as well as short- to medium-term support measures and promotes the strengthening of individual resources. There is no deadline for submissions; applications can be submitted at any time to the Office of the Styrian State Government, Department 11 Social Affairs.
