State Subsidy for Pine Regulation

The state subsidy for dental orthodontic treatments in Vorarlberg supports private individuals from low-income families in making medically necessary orthodontic treatments affordable. Since January 1, 2014, this subsidy has been available without limitation and is based on the guidelines of the respective support funds of the social insurance carriers in Vorarlberg. On average, €280 per case and year are covered. The aim of this funding program is to promote dental orthodontics in accordance with the guidelines of the support funds and thus sustainably improve the oral health of children and adolescents. The billing is subject to periodic review to ensure the appropriate use of funds.

Particularly eligible are families whose monthly net income (excluding family allowance) does not exceed €1,200, plus €400 for each additional family member. Only costs for orthodontic measures that meet the requirements of the social insurance carriers are funded. Applications can be submitted continuously and directly to the responsible social insurance carrier. In addition to the application form, proof of meeting the income requirements must be provided. Support and payment are carried out in cooperation with the Vorarlberg state government, the regional health insurance fund, the farmers' social insurance, the public servants' insurance institution, and the social insurance for commercial employees. The straightforward application process without fixed deadlines enables timely access to financial relief to secure necessary orthodontic treatments within the family budget.
