Description
The nationwide grant funding for apprenticeship training for adults supports small and medium-sized enterprises in Austria with apprenticeship contracts involving persons over 18 years of age. Instead of the conventional apprentice remuneration, the basic funding is based on the wage for auxiliary workers and specifically promotes wage costs. Since July 1, 2013, there has been an unlimited opportunity to further develop dual training and ensure the quality of in-company training. Innovative instruments for apprenticeship training are supported, as well as companies testing new pedagogical and organizational approaches.
A prerequisite for funding is an existing apprenticeship contract with adult trainees, payment at least at auxiliary worker level, and fee-free application submission within three months of the eligible event. Public authorities and companies with serious violations of the Vocational Training Act are excluded. Only wage costs are funded, providing a clear financial advantage to those authorized to train. With this instrument from the Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy and Tourism, companies are supported in securing skilled labor and impulses are set for future-oriented education and training.
