Description
The mini-funding:gemeinsam.vor.ort is a continuously available grant initiative by the State of Carinthia that supports non-profit organizations, interest groups, and other associations in implementing small-scale and low-threshold integration projects. Projects funded are located in decentralized regions of Carinthia and relate to the areas of migration, social cohesion/democracy, as well as work & social affairs. A special focus is placed on projects that directly involve refugees and migrants, expand local networks, and promote a vibrant coexistence. With low administrative hurdles, this grant enables rapid project starts and provides strong impulses for sustainable participation in diverse rural and regional contexts. Flexible funding amounts allow tailored financing of workshops, encounter events, or local language support offerings to effectively reduce barriers.
Requirements for funding include alignment with the integration guideline “Together in Carinthia” (2017), exclusive implementation within Carinthia, and the non-profit nature of the project without profit motive. Since its inception in August 2019, applications can be submitted at any time; there is no binding deadline. Grants are awarded at the discretion of the authority within the framework of the guideline. Submission must include the written project concept, proof of fund usage (original receipts), detailed accounting, and a final report. Department 13 – Society and Integration at the Office of the Carinthian State Government reviews and decides on funding applications promptly. This offer enables local initiative groups and associations to effectively implement their integration ideas and establish sustainable structures for social cohesion in the long term.
