Description
The Federal Agency for Civic Education supports innovative projects in political education through model funding. The funding program is aimed at educational institutions nationwide and focuses on the development of novel teaching approaches that are convincing both methodologically and didactically. Eligible for funding are projects characterized by a high degree of innovation and whose results are transferable to other educational providers. Established institutions in political education have the opportunity to realize their creative project ideas with a grant and thereby contribute to the qualitative advancement of political education in Germany.
Within the framework of the program, personnel expenses as well as material and travel costs and other expenditures specified in the financial plan are subsidized. A well-founded, innovative project idea in the field of political education, which must be presented in a meaningful project description, is a prerequisite. The application should be submitted using the appropriate form, signed by the authorized representatives, and accompanied by the required attachments – such as a detailed expenditure and financing plan and a checklist for application submission. It is essential that the complete documents are received by the funding agency no later than four months before the planned project start. The application procedures ensure that the funds are used purposefully and in compliance with the funding conditions.
The evaluation of applications is based on clearly defined criteria: in addition to the degree of innovation, the transferability of the project results is particularly assessed. The quality of the project description also factors into the decision-making process, with strict adherence to the funding conditions considered a crucial factor.
