Description
The nationwide funding program Motivational Support Offers provides tailored, low-threshold activities for NEET youth who are outside of school, work, and training. With creative elements from sports, theater, dance, and music, as well as complementary learning opportunities, individual resources are activated, self-confidence is strengthened, and social stability is promoted. A coordinated three-pillar model combines “school-remote” motivational modules with targeted learning support in German, English, and mathematics, as well as practice-oriented workshops and excursions. Additionally, professional coaching with case management, career and educational counseling, and parental involvement ensures holistic support and a smooth transition into school or vocational training pathways. In cooperation with the Vocational Assistance Network (NEBA) and Youth Coaching, efficient interface management is guaranteed, supporting sustainable reintegration.
Eligible for funding are interest groups, associations, and companies with personnel who have relevant experience in the socio-pedagogical field as well as gender and diversity competence. The target group consists of young people who have fulfilled their compulsory schooling and hold a valid residence permit in Austria. Participants already engaged in existing socio-pedagogical day structures or with unsuitable health conditions are excluded. In exceptional cases, school dropout-risk youth may participate upon referral by Youth Coaching. The funding is granted as a subsidy, has been available indefinitely since 01.07.2019, and can be applied for at any time. Interested parties will find here a sustainable opportunity to specifically motivate disadvantaged youth, stabilize them, and reintegrate them long-term into educational or training systems.
