Description
The "Music, Project, and Annual Funding" of the State of Carinthia continuously provides financial grants to private individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations with a Carinthian connection for professional, reproducible, and artistically valuable projects. Funding is provided, among other things, for concerts, festivals, as well as studio recordings and the production of sound recordings featuring new or previously unpublished works. Additionally, commissioned compositions (up to 50% of the artistic effort), digitization projects, advanced training measures for highly talented musicians, and international cultural exchanges are included in the funding offer. Applicants must comply with §§ 3–5 K-KFördG as well as the cultural funding guidelines, submit the application online on the official form before the project begins, demonstrate the Carinthian connection (residence or thematic relevance), and visibly credit the State of Carinthia with the logo "Land Kärnten Kunst und Kultur" in promotional materials, programs, or publications. Eligible expenses include personnel, material, and travel costs; retroactive costs, real estate acquisitions, and debt repayments are not funded. Selection is based on innovation content, sustainability aspects, and relevance to the target group.
After a positive funding approval, the grant is awarded—depending on the amount—by official notice or contract and paid into a designated account. The proof of use includes a balanced overview of receipts, a detailed income-expenditure statement from €30,000, and a written activity report with quantitative and qualitative results. Compliance with submission deadlines and timely provision of all documents (especially a fully completed and digitally signed application form including all attachments) is mandatory. Further information on funding amounts, deadlines, and procedures can be found on the Culture Channel; the online form is available via the portal of the Office of the Carinthian State Government. Application start date is January 1, 2026; applications may be submitted at any time.
