Description

The promotion of local heating supply based on renewable energy sources supports companies and entrepreneurial organizations in Tyrol in the construction, optimization, and expansion of decentralized heat supply systems. Funding is provided, among others, for biomass local heating plants, geothermal systems, industrial waste heat utilization, as well as the expansion and densification of heat distribution networks. The goal is to align Tyrol's energy policy with the nationwide climate protection strategy and to achieve a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions. Applications can be submitted between 01.03.2024 and 31.12.2027. Applicants must prove their registered office or place of business in Tyrol and implement a corresponding project in the field of renewable local heat supply. The funding rate is a flat 30% of eligible costs, supplemented by possible surcharges and combined federal and state funding in a 60:40 ratio.

The measure is particularly aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises as well as other entrepreneurial entities that wish to make a sustainable contribution to the local energy supply. For the application, the funding guidelines, the application form, and the accounting documents must be submitted. Through financial support, investment risks are reduced and planning security is increased, thereby creating a future-oriented energy infrastructure. Interested parties can find all relevant documents and further information on the website of the State of Tyrol. Thus, the funding makes an important contribution to the ecological heat transition and strengthens Tyrol as a business location through modern, climate-efficient technologies.
