Non-investive social measures for the implementation of family relief services (FED)

In Thuringia, the Thuringian Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family funds non-investive social measures for the implementation of family relief services. The objective is the financial support of non-profit and public organizations as well as associations that relieve caregiving relatives and families in stressful life situations. Funding is provided for expenses related to qualified personnel for care, accompaniment, and everyday support, as well as necessary material costs for supplies and equipment. The services are characterized by their demand orientation, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, and contribute to strengthening private care and support. Applications can be submitted continuously, enabling timely project implementation and flexible planning.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, or other associations with headquarters or activities in Thuringia that demonstrably provide family relief services. Key criteria include the qualification of the provider, a comprehensible needs analysis, and a coherent cost and financing plan. The application must include a cover letter, a detailed project description, the cost and financing plan, as well as proof of non-profit status or sponsorship. Funding is provided in the form of a grant and offers providers the opportunity to sustainably expand their social services and specifically support caregiving families.
