Description
The Lower Austria Employees' Assistance Fund supports employees with their main residence in Lower Austria who find themselves in acute financial distress due to unforeseeable events—such as illness, accident, or death in the family. One-time grants of up to € 3,000 can be awarded from the Employee Promotion Fund. The aim of this funding is the rapid and unbureaucratic prevention or elimination of unavoidable personal, familial, or economic hardships. A decisive evaluation criterion is the comprehensibility of the presented social, familial, and economic situation, whereby exceptions may be allowed in cases of hardship.
Interested persons who have maintained their main residence in Lower Austria for at least one year and have monthly income from dependent employment or benefits under the Unemployment Insurance Act can submit their application continuously and informally to the Labor Market Department of the Office of the Lower Austria State Government. The application must be accompanied by registration certificates for all household members, proof of income, evidence of other benefits received, as well as documents of financial burdens (invoices, loan agreements, reminders) and current bank statements. Approval is granted after review of all documents and availability of funds. Further details on the guidelines and the application form are available on the website of the State of Lower Austria.
