Description
The funding program "Open Youth Work in Municipalities" of the State of Burgenland provides public institutions with comprehensive support in the education, training, and guidance of young people outside of traditional care structures. Only personnel costs in stationary youth centers, meeting points, and mobile services that address the developmental tasks of young people aged 12 to 30 are eligible for funding. The subsidy rate is 100%, scaled according to care hours: from 5 weekly hours (Level 1: €4,000) through 10 hours (Level 2: €8,000) and 15 hours (Level 3: €12,000) up to 20 hours (Level 4: €16,000) per week. A special bonus of 20% is granted to municipalities with a low per capita tax capacity. Funding can be continuously applied for since 01.01.2021 for periods of twelve months each.
Various proofs are required for the application: professional qualifications and employment extent of the care personnel, a completed survey form "Open Youth Work in Municipalities", a detailed annual concept, and an annual report. The minimum offer includes five care hours on at least one weekday. Municipal carriers must use the State Youth Office logo at all events and publications. Youth work by associations, school day care, and counseling centers are not eligible for funding. An online funding application must be submitted, supplemented by certificates, concept documents, and – in the case of low per capita tax capacity – tax capacity data from the financial statements.
