Patent Voucher

The Patent Voucher enables founders and small to medium-sized enterprises throughout Austria to access invention protection without barriers. With a funding rate of up to 80%, this grant program covers significant costs incurred during a patent application, thereby reducing financial obstacles for innovative projects. An experienced team of experts provides professional advice and technical support in preparing the application. In this way, start-ups, founders, and SMEs gain valuable time and simultaneously acquire the necessary know-how to sustainably secure and strategically utilize their intellectual property.

Expenses for patent applications as well as supplementary consulting services provided by the Patent Office are eligible for funding. Applicants must be companies with a registered office or place of business in Austria that are preparing or have already submitted a patent application. Applications can be submitted continuously from March 1, 2024, until May 30, 2030. Through transparent processing and the avoidance of complex administrative procedures, the Patent Voucher aims to strengthen the innovative capacity of domestic companies and promote sustainable growth.
