Award "Rebellious Woman 2026"

The award “Rebellious Woman 2026” honors committed women nationwide who, through conviction and civil courage, make feminist concerns visible and tirelessly advocate for gender equality. Private individuals may apply themselves or be nominated by third parties. The selection by the foundation’s board is based on the significance of the commitment, evidence of civil courage, and the innovative nature of activities in politics, science, culture, or everyday life. With a prize money of €3,000, the Rebellious Women Foundation emphasizes the importance of persistent advocacy against resistance and thereby strengthens the promotion of women and social cohesion.

Application documents include a completed form, a curriculum vitae, and a coherent justification of the feminist engagement. The deadline for submission is March 3, 2026. Entries are accepted exclusively via email and must be submitted on time. Awardees receive not only financial support but also public recognition of their work during a ceremony in June 2026. The initiative is aimed at all women who, in the spirit of constructive rebellion, initiate change and stand up against attacks on women’s rights and equality. Thus, the award makes an important contribution to making feminist perspectives visible and promotes societal discourse on gender equality.
