Description
The funding project supports the establishment of a modern nature education center at the site of the Tyrolean Ibex Center in St. Leonhard im Pitztal. The newly constructed building will feature spacious exhibition, seminar, and meeting rooms that provide insight into the high mountain habitat and its sustainable use. With a planned duration of 24 months, construction costs, planning and conceptual services, as well as the necessary equipment for the premises, will be financially supported. Public institutions and non-profit organizations can submit applications continuously from November 9, 2022, until the budget is exhausted. The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant and creates space for educational offerings and professional workshops in the fields of environmental and nature conservation, energy efficiency, as well as training and continuing education.
Target groups include, in addition to the municipality of St. Leonhard im Pitztal as the project sponsor, primarily educational institutions, environmental organizations, as well as the Pitztal State Hunting Association and the Tyrolean Hunters’ Association. These use the seminar rooms for nature education seminars, photography and guiding training, or hunting-related further education, while visitors of all ages benefit from interactive exhibitions and guided tours. Applications must be submitted with written partial payment requests and professionally audited invoices. A prerequisite for the grant are the conditions set out in the respective government decision or funding agreement. The processing is carried out by the Department of Agricultural Education and Agricultural Law of the State of Tyrol, which, as the funding agency, ensures further support and provides professional as well as administrative guidance.
