Description

The project "Perspective Elite Sports" is a joint initiative of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Sports Association and the Rhineland-Palatinate Sports Aid Foundation, aimed at sustainably supporting up to ten talented NK1 junior athletes in Olympic disciplines from Rhineland-Palatinate. Over a period of up to 24 months, the beneficiaries receive a monthly lump sum of €400 to optimize their athletic development. The measure targets athletes with national squad status (NK1) and outstanding international rankings, who are registered for both individual and team competition rights with a Rhineland-Palatinate club and have their training base in the state. The financial relief is intended to enable improved preparation for national and international competitions.

Interested NK1 athletes can submit their application documents by January 31, 2026 (funding start retroactive to January 1, 2026) or alternatively by July 31, 2026 (funding start retroactive to July 1, 2026). Required are a letter of motivation, proof of national squad status and international achievements, confirmations of individual and team competition rights, confirmation of the training base in Rhineland-Palatinate, as well as completion of an initial consultation with the career counseling service of the OSP Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland. The application is supplemented by the official confirmation of the responsible state coaches. Project places are reviewed annually; any changes in funding eligibility must be reported immediately to ensure continuous support.
