Description
CooperationVET – International Vocational Education and Training Cooperation promotes nationwide partnerships between German educational institutions, companies, and public organizations as well as institutions in developing and emerging countries. The program aims to improve the quality of training and enhance the employability of trainees and skilled workers through professional qualification measures. Funded projects must present a viable concept with clear training and qualification objectives and be supported by a proven partnership in the partner country. Grants are provided in the form of subsidies for personnel and material expenses, travel costs, and fees for expertise. Real estate acquisitions and retroactive costs, however, are not eligible for funding. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with a focus on relevance to vocational education and training cooperation, sustainability aspects, as well as effectiveness and scalability.
Interested institutions must have an office in Germany and submit a detailed project description including a financing plan, partnership commitment, and CVs of the project managers. Through this, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) supports the development of innovative approaches in vocational education and training for sustainable skilled labor development. By specifically strengthening quality standards and practice-oriented training content, the program contributes in the long term to the social and economic development of the involved regions. Support is provided by the DLR Project Management Agency, which serves as the central contact point for all questions regarding application submission and project implementation.
