Project Funding by the Norderney Citizens' Foundation

The Norderney Citizens' Foundation continuously supports non-profit projects on the island and addresses associations, initiatives, educational institutions, public bodies, companies, and private individuals engaged in the fields of education and upbringing, youth and elderly care, arts and culture, science and research, environmental and nature conservation, heritage preservation, health and sports, as well as charitable purposes. As a politically independent foundation, funds are available in the form of lump-sum grants to transform ideas into meaningful measures and strengthen the common good on Norderney. Applications can be submitted at any time; the corresponding form is available as a PDF on the foundation's download page.

Projects that are demonstrably implemented on Norderney and recognized as non-profit according to the foundation's statutes are eligible for funding. A prerequisite for a grant is, among other things, a detailed financing plan as well as a comprehensive project description. Upon project completion, a factual report and a proof of use must be submitted to ensure transparency and sustainability. The Norderney Citizens' Foundation places great importance on close support and public relations, which is why the foundation's emblem should be used in all communication materials. Through this funding, committed actors have the opportunity to actively shape island society and set long-term impulses in diverse fields of action.
